April has arrived, and with it various school activities as we prepare to the 2019-20 school year.
We would like to invite you to this week's Incoming Parent Night which will take place on Wednesday, April 10.
For current 7th grade families, the evening will begin at 6PM with a short presentation in Columbia's Performing Arts Center, and then will break out into various sessions. During the latter half of our time (6:30-7PM), current 7th grade families will be able to ask specific questions about 8th grade athletics, ASB activities, clubs, or even tour the building.
For current 8th grade families, the evening will begin at 6:30PM for a similar presentation with more emphasis on a student's high school journey.
Examples of questions we hope to answer include:
- What can I expect for my incoming 8th grade student?
- What is CORE/FLEX and how does it work?
- What do I need to know about various content areas?
- What do I need to know about courses and registration?
We will have activities for incoming students in the gym (hosted by our Leos Club) as well as activities for younger siblings in the art room (hosted by our Art Club).
Our time will conclude around 7PM.
We hope you will consider joining us this Wednesday night as we try to give you a glimpse of what next year holds.
